Retroverse Is Now Online: Welcome to Brainlab Fira's Retro Playground

Some things never go out of style like the clatter of a joystick, the hum of a CRT, the thrill of a high score nobody's beaten yet. Today, Brainlab Fira is switching on Retroverse, our new digital hub for retro gaming, retro computing, and everything that surrounds that culture.

Think of it as five doors into the same obsession: what's happening this week, what you can play right now, what's coming to Barcelona, how it plugs into Brainlaverse, and who's building it alongside us.

56 Events and Counting: Find Your People

Retro culture runs on gatherings, not just game files. Retroverse's Events section is a live, constantly refreshed directory currently tracking 56 events worldwide from local club meetups and midweek arcade sessions to bigger names like Boatfest, the International Retro Computer Expo now in its fourth year, and HainCon13 in Germany's Rhein-Main region. Search by place, topic, or date, and find the nearest excuse to unplug from 2026 for an evening.

4497 Classics, One Click Away

This is the part that'll eat your afternoon. Retroverse's Emulators library currently holds 4497 playable titles such as MS-DOS classics, arcade ports, oddities you forgot existed, each tagged with platform, genre, and compatibility, and launchable straight from the page through copyright-safe, archive-backed sources. Rediscover $100,000 Pyramid, take a spin through 1830: Railroads & Robber Barons, or just fall down the pagination rabbit hole. With 188 pages of titles, you won't run out anytime soon.

Step Through the Portal Into Brainlaverse

Retroverse isn't just a browsing tool. It's also an entry point. The Brainlaverse portal, styled like a classic arcade cabinet, lets you jump between retro games and a whole cultural world inside Brainlaverse where you can be inside famous paintings, talk with philosophers, or uncover hidden Spanish heritage gems as you complete missions along the way.

A Network, Not a Logo Wall

Retroverse runs on relationships and the Friends section proves it: six nodes strong already, spanning studio, metaverse, museum, community, education, and culture categories. Brainlab Fira sits at the center as Retroverse's creator, with Brainlaverse, the incoming Barcelona museum, and a growing set of community, education, and cultural allies rounding out the map. As we like to put it ourselves: it's a network, not a logo wall.

What's Actually Live Today

To be crystal clear: the website is live now: events, emulators, the Brainlaverse portal, and the friends network are all working and browsable today. The physical Barcelona museum it's in preparation, and Retroverse is where its progress will be tracked as it happens.

This is a living project. The library keeps growing, new allies keep joining, and the museum signal keeps getting stronger. Pick a lane, browse tonight's local meetup, launch a game you haven't touched in twenty years, or just poke around the portal and see where Retroverse takes you.
