Exoskeleton Engineer

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Collaboration and Development

Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications for self-thrusted electrical exoskeletons tailored for both industrial and self-care applications.

Design and Engineering

Apply physics and engineering principles to design mechanical structures and electrical components of exoskeleton systems.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop detailed models and simulations, ensuring structural integrity and ergonomic suitability.

Material Selection and Fabrication

Choose appropriate materials and employ advanced manufacturing processes like 3D printing to create precise and durable exoskeleton components.

System Integration

Integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems into the exoskeleton designs to provide self-thrusting capabilities while ensuring user safety and comfort.

Testing and Evaluation

Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of exoskeleton prototypes, focusing on metrics such as thrust efficiency, power consumption, and user experience.

Iterative Design and Optimization

Refine designs based on test results and feedback from stakeholders, aiming to optimize the performance and usability of the exoskeletons.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of all design iterations, testing procedures, and outcomes in technical reports and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

Scholarships also welcomed if very motivated on the matter

Technical Expertise

Strong background in mechanics, dynamics, and control systems, with a focus on electromechanical systems and robotics.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360 for 3D modeling and design.

Experience with additive manufacturing processes, particularly 3D printing, and familiarity with materials selection and fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of electrical systems design, including circuitry, sensors, actuators, and power management.

Previous experience in designing and prototyping electromechanical systems or wearable devices is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
